Hormone Blocking Drug may Help Prevent Breast Cancer

A study has been conducted by the American Society of Clinical Oncology has found that a drug currently being used to fight breast cancer, may also be successful as a preventative measure. The story was presented on NPR’s All Things Considered this week:

Remember, taking a pill in an effort to avoid breast cancer does not mean you should abandon other measures of prevention. Know if you are at risk for breast cancer, be sure to schedule regular mammograms, and perform monthly self breast exams.
