Vincent L. Flanders, MD Joins NWR

Vincent L. Flanders, MD has recently joined Northwest Radiology Network, P.C. as an Interventional Radiologist.

The board certified radiologist graduated from the University of South Florida, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then attended Duke University School of Medicine where he graduated with honors in 2005. Dr. Flanders completed a transitional internship at Carilion Health Systems in Roanoke, Virginia, and a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he was Chief Resident. Most recently, he completed an Abnormal Imaging and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the same hospital.

Dr. Flanders has held several professional positions and recieved several honors and awards throughout his academia and served as an instructor of Organic and General Chemistry to undergraduate students. He also served as part-time faculty at Northeastern University teaching general radiology to Physician Assistant students. He has conducted extensive research in the field of Interventional Oncology and has had several publications and presentations which includes Ablation of Liver Metastasis, Use of Thermal Ablation Techniques in the Management of Metastatic Gynecologic Malignancies.

He is a native of Florida and enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and hiking in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter. Dr. Flanders and his wife Mary Kay, are the proud parents of Sebastian, 19 months, and Enzo, 4 weeks.

Dr. Flanders is a current member of the American College of Radiology, Radiologic Society of North America, Inc., New England Roentgen Ray Society, Association of University Radiologists, American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Interventional Radiology, New England Society of Interventional Radiology, Indianapolis Medical Society, and the Indiana State Medical Association.
