During medical school, Dr. Hill completed a year of basic science research at a specialized orthopedic center, Hospital for Special Surgery, focused on the protein ADAM17 and its role in cartilage development. In residency, he presented research on the imaging characteristics of Candida albicans spondylitis, a fungal infection of the spine, at the American Society of Neuroradiology annual meeting. His research during fellowship was focused on focal spinal cord deformities and extradural collections in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak.
