Northwest Radiology Welcomes Mhapsekar as Neuroradiologist

Mhapsekar_FINALWe are excited to welcome Rishi Mhapsekar, MD, as a new neuroradiologist on the Northwest Radiology team!

Dr. Mhapsekar received his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Irvine and his master’s degree from Rosalind Franklin University. His Doctor of Medicine is from Chicago Medical School. He completed his internship in general surgery at Indiana University. He also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology followed by a fellowship in neuroradiology at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

A member of the American Board of Radiology and American College of Radiology, Dr. Mhapsekar’s experience includes research in CT radiation dose reduction techniques with an interest in pediatric CT dose reduction. He has led and contributed to several publications and presentations, including an oral scientific presentation at the 2015 American Society of Neuroradiology Annual Meeting in Chicago. He is currently board eligible in radiology.

Originally from Tustin, Calif., Dr. Mhapsekar served as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was awarded the National Defense Medal and has volunteered for many organizations, including United States Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots and Telerad Foundation.
