Northwest Radiology Network Welcomes Body and Breast Imaging Radiologist Dr. Karen Rea

Northwest Radiology Network welcomes Karen Rea, M.D., who is subspecialized in body and breast imaging radiology.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in ecology, evolution and environmental biology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., Dr. Rea received her Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

She completed a diagnostic radiology residency followed by a hybrid abdominal imaging and mammography fellowship at Indiana University in Indianapolis.

Dr. Rea served on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Global Health Committee and was a Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) representative from Indiana University.

In addition, Dr. Rea’s international experience includes serving as a medical student volunteer with Interhealth South America in Quito, Ecuador, working in both rural and urban health clinics to help provide healthcare; serving Buddhist monks and locals living in the foothills of the Himalayas through the Himalayan Health Exchange in India; and working alongside Kenyan medical personnel in Eldoret, Kenya.
