Meet the NWR Team: Dr. Caryn Anderson

Northwest Radiology would not be successful without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team! We are proud to have such outstanding team members who not only provide exceptional care to our clients, but who also work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly every day.

We want to thank our team members for their service and show everyone what a wonderful team we have, so we want you to “Meet the NWR Team.”

Each month, we will feature team members who are celebrating work anniversaries with Northwest Radiology.

Please meet … Dr. Caryn Anderson. She joined the team in January 2006, making this her 11-year anniversary with Northwest Radiology! Learn more about Dr. Anderson.

Q: What is your title/role with Northwest Radiology?

A: I am a part-time partner. I am the radiology director for NWR at AHN. I am predominantly a breast imager, although I did my fellowship in abdominal imaging.

Q: Why did you choose to work in the field of radiology and, specifically, your subspecialty?

A: I chose radiology for the intellectual stimulation, continuing technological advancements, and the satisfaction of working with other physicians.

Q: How did you get started with NWR?

A: I came to NWR in 2006, when my husband and I moved our family back “home” to Indianapolis from Evansville, where I had worked for eight very satisfying years.

Q: Describe a memorable moment you have had while working for NWR. Why was it so memorable?

A: As a breast imager, I often have the opportunity to give patients good news about their health.  That moment, when I have the ability to eliminate the patient’s fears, is uplifting and gratifying.

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for NWR?

A: We take our responsibilities to the referring physicians and to our patients very seriously, and we strive to be accurate, thorough and thoughtful in our care.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time? Hobbies, volunteer work?

A: I love to hike, travel, read and spend time with family. We are visiting National Parks in our spare time. I also volunteer with the Eiteljorg Museum, a true Indianapolis gem.
