adj_DSC_0094Q: What is your title/role with Northwest Radiology?

A: Musculoskeletal radiologist

Q: Why did you choose to work in the field of radiology and, specifically, your subspecialty?

A: I enjoy the technical aspect of the field. I’ve always enjoyed engineering, structures and mechanics, so orthopedic imaging seemed to best fit my interests.

Q: How did you get started with NWR?

A: I started in 2007 after finishing my fellowship at IU. My wife’s family is from Indianapolis, and my family is from northern Indiana. It’s nice to be close to them.

Q: Describe Northwest Radiology in one word.

A: Adaptable

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for NWR?

A: It is a good job with good people. Northwest Radiology is a great place to work, and Indy is a great place to live.

Q: How have changes in technology affected your job and the radiology industry in general?

A: Most changes have been beneficial: picture archiving and communication system (PACS); continually evolving technology in medicine in general; and improved voice recognition have all allowed us to be more productive and faster in interpreting patient exams. Improved imaging resolution has resulted in better accuracy with image interpretation.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time? Hobbies, volunteer work?

A: I enjoy flying (pilot since I was 17), photography, biking, cooking, woodworking, and computer design
