Northwest Radiology Network Opens New Outpatient Imaging Center in Fishers

Northwest Radiology Network is proud to announce the opening of its new outpatient imaging center in Fishers.

Located at 14300 E. 138th Street, Building B, Suite C in Fishers, the imaging center offers both computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services. The entrance to the suite is at the east end of Med Tech Park, next to Central Indiana Orthopedics and Urology of Indiana.

“We are looking forward to providing imaging care to the growing community of Fishers and surrounding areas,” said Northwest Radiology Executive Director and CFO Linda Wilgus, CPA, MBA. “Because we value our patients, radiologists and staff members, we are ensuring safety is a top priority by taking extra precautions at the new facility, including handwashing throughout the day, sanitizing all equipment and surfaces in between patient appointments, as well as having all techs and patients wear protective face masks.”

In addition, patients will be asked to wait in their vehicles until their appointment time, and they will be texted when it’s time to enter the facility. Online registration is also available to minimize interaction during check-in.

The Fishers outpatient imaging center is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both physicians and patients have access to images and results through an online portal.

“We also offer patients flat-rate-pricing, which is the ability to see all our pricing before their procedure,” Wilgus said. “Whether you’re insured or not is no problem. There are no hidden fees, and it’s the same price for everyone who walks through our doors.”

Meet the NWR Team: Patricia

Northwest Radiology would not be successful without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team! We are proud to have such outstanding team members who not only provide exceptional care to our clients, but who also work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly every day.

Meet Patricia. She has been an important member of the NWR team for 19 years!

Q. What roles and responsibilities have you had at NWR?

A. In my 19 years at NWR, I have held many different roles.  Some of my favorites have been assisting the x-ray techs in getting their patients ready and processing their x-rays.  I am really enjoying my current roles of assisting the CT and MR techs in obtaining prior records for comparison prior to a patient’s exam, being a “super user” on the computer system and being able to help others solve problems, and starting IVs for contrast exams.

Q. What have you learned through these experiences?

A. Aside from everything I have learned about radiology, learning to start IVs is probably the biggest.  I did not think I would want any part of it, but after some encouragement from my coworkers and my family, I gave it a try.  I am really glad I did!

Q. What have been some of the biggest changes and challenges?

A. The biggest change/challenge would have to be the situation with Covid-19.  Our hours have changed and we have been working a block schedule.  However, being able to continue to care for patients during this challenging time is quite rewarding.
