My Radiologist

my-radiologist

Northwest Radiology Network is a proud participant in the My-Radiologist.com™ national consumer awareness campaign.

My-Radiologist.com was created by a national consortium of independent, subspecialized radiology practices, including Northwest Radiology Network, that have aligned efforts to educate healthcare consumers regarding the scope of services radiologists provide as well as the importance of seeking out a subspecialized radiology group.

The program delivers this messaging through real-life stories of patients whose lives were changed, and even saved, through the collaborative efforts of a radiologist.

As part of My-Radiologist.com, Northwest Radiology hopes to help create a platform engaging other radiology industry organizations in advocacy for the profession and future success of the independent radiology group practice model.

Subspecialized Radiologists

Subspecialized radiologists have completed a fellowship of one or two additional years of residency to pursue specific areas of focus that allow them to concentrate on single body parts/diseases through clinical work and research.

Having your medical imaging procedures performed by a subspecialized radiology group like Northwest Radiology Network means your images will be interpreted by a radiologist who is trained specifically in the type of exam interpretation or procedure required to meet your particular needs.

Subspecialized radiology also results in less waiting time, shortened visits and decreased patient costs through reducing the need for additional medical imaging examinations. A subspecialized report leaves your referring physician (often your primary care physician) at ease with the quality and accuracy of the results, confident about moving forward with your treatment without the need for additional imaging and time.
