Meet the NWR Team: Tina

Northwest Radiology would not be successful without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team! We are proud to have such outstanding team members who not only provide exceptional care to our clients, but who also work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly every day.

We want to thank our team members for their service and show everyone what a wonderful team we have, so we want you to “Meet the NWR Team.”

Each month, we will feature team members who are celebrating work anniversaries with Northwest Radiology.

Please meet … Tina. She was hired in July 2015, making this her one-year anniversary with Northwest Radiology! Learn more about Tina.

Tina_RuthQ: What is your title/role and duties with Northwest Radiology?

A: I am a PET/CT and CT technologist. I use radiopharmaceuticals to aid in the diagnostic process for PET/CT where we image physiology, and in CT where we image anatomy. I am grateful to be able to have the opportunity to perform in both of these imaging modalities in my role at Northwest Radiology.

Q: How did you get started with Northwest Radiology?

A: I started with NWR one year ago. I heard positive things of Northwest Radiology while working PRN at other locations. As soon as I saw a position available that met my background, I immediately applied. During my interview I was introduced to the staff. I felt so welcome by everyone and I was really hoping to get a call back. That was one year ago, and I am still just as happy to come to work as I was my first day.

Q: Describe a memorable moment you have had while working for NWR. Why was it so memorable?

A: I have so many memorable moments from when I started working here. I have had numerous heartfelt conversations with patients that ended with hugs, tears or laughter, and sometimes all three of those things, during one conversation. I treat all of my patients the way I would want my family to be treated. It makes me feel good to make people smile.

Q: What has surprised you most about working for NWR?

A: What has surprised me most about Northwest Radiology is their push for furthering their employee’s education. Most of the employees can work in more than one imaging modality successfully. Northwest Radiology encourages their employees to cross-train and become certified in other imaging modalities. Being certified in nuclear medicine allowed me to cross-train in CT, and Northwest Radiology helped me to accomplish this personal goal in December 2015.

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for NWR?

A: Northwest Radiology is a great place to work. We all work hard and have fun doing it. The company offers great benefits and incentives that are valued by their employees.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: In my free time, I like to be with my family. We like to do anything involving being outside, like hiking and kayaking.
