Meet the NWR Team: Kurtis

Northwest Radiology would not be successful without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team! We are proud to have such outstanding team members who not only provide exceptional care to our clients, but who also work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly every day.

We want to thank our team members for their service and show everyone what a wonderful team we have, so we want you to “Meet the NWR Team.”

Each month, we will feature team members who are celebrating work anniversaries with Northwest Radiology.

Please meet … Kurtis. He was hired in May 2014, making this his two-year anniversary with Northwest Radiology! Learn more about Kurtis.

Kurtis_Evans_croppedQ: What is your title/role and duties with Northwest Radiology?

A: I am a medical transcriptionist/editor. Our team listens to and proofreads the radiologists’ dictations for errors before finalization and distribution to the referring physicians.

Q: Describe Northwest Radiology in one word.

A: Dedicated

Q: What is something you wish others knew about Northwest Radiology?

A: I wish more people understood the amount of extra training and education our radiologists receive to make them the best in the business as well as how all of that translates to the involvement of their own care.

Kurtis_Evans2Q: Describe a memorable moment you have had while working for NWR. Why was it so memorable?

A: There have been several memorable moments so far, including celebrating my 40th birthday and great times had at the holiday parties! This is just a place I enjoy coming to every day to work, and everyone here is awesome. Recently, someone in my department became ill, and the amount of support and togetherness everyone at NWR — not just in our department but the whole company — has shown for this person and their family has been unbelievable.

Q: What has surprised you most about working for NWR?

A: I have been surprised by the amount of time most of the people have been with the company — in a good way! These days, so many folks hop from one job to the next; it’s nice to see a place where the people have such longevity and want to be somewhere for the long term.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: I am a big music fan. I enjoy (and by enjoy I mean being disappointed season after season) Tampa Bay Buccaneers football. I also like to work on old cars.
