We want to thank our team members for their service and show everyone what a wonderful team we have, so we want you to “Meet the NWR Team.”

Each month, we will feature team members who are celebrating work anniversaries with Northwest Radiology.

Please meet … Karen. She was hired in May 2004, making this her 12-year anniversary with Northwest Radiology! Learn more about Karen.

Karen ParrottQ: What is your title/role and duties with Northwest Radiology?

A: I am a transcription supervisor. I provide supervision to the medical transcriptionists who are responsible for editing dictated radiology reports. I provide technical and procedural direction to my staff as well as training in medicolegal implications and responsibilities related to patient records to protect the patient and the company. I work closely with IT staff and the radiologists to support the dictation platform.

Q: How did you get started with NWR? Why have you stayed so many years?

A: I was hired part-time as a medical transcriptionist when we typed reports. I have been fortunate to be part of an outstanding group of people who have supported my professional development over the last 12 years.

Q: Describe Northwest Radiology in one word.

A: Dedicated

Q: What is something you wish others knew about Northwest Radiology?

A: I wish the general public better understood how a radiologist can contribute to their overall health.

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for NWR?

A: NWR is a physician-owned company and has been providing diagnostic imaging services for almost 50 years. NWR has almost doubled in size. There were 33 radiologists when I started, and there are currently 57!

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: I enjoy spending time riding the motorcycle with my husband, daughter and son-in-law.
