Meet the NWR Team: Dr. Vincent Flanders

Northwest Radiology would not be successful without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team! We are proud to have such outstanding team members who not only provide exceptional care to our clients, but who also work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly every day.

We want to thank our team members for their service and show everyone what a wonderful team we have, so we want you to “Meet the NWR Team.”

Each month, we will feature team members who are celebrating work anniversaries with Northwest Radiology.

Please meet … Dr. Vincent Flanders. He joined the team in June 2011, making this his five-year anniversary with Northwest Radiology! Learn more about Dr. Flanders.

v-flandersQ: What is your role and subspecialty with Northwest Radiology?

A: Abdominal imaging and interventional radiology (IR)

Q: Why did you choose to work in the field of radiology and, specifically, your subspecialty?

A: I chose IR as a subspecialty because I enjoy working in the forefront of procedural medicine; utilizing minimally invasive, rapidly-evolving technologies to help patients achieve outcomes was only dreamed of in the not-too-distant past.

Q: How did you get started with NWR? Why have you stayed so many years?

A: I started with NWR directly after fellowship five years ago because I saw the potential for growth and development of an interventional practice that would be both challenging and fulfilling. Without the support afforded to me by NWR, the practice I have today would not be possible.

Q: Describe NWR in one word.

A: Precise

Q: How have changes in technology affected your job and the radiology industry in general?

A: As technology evolves, so does my practice and skill set. New modalities for diagnosis and treatment are always entering the field of IR, which requires physicians to constantly expand our knowledge base and stay up to date on the newest therapies available for our patients.

Q: Why would you tell someone to work for NWR?

A: NWR is a great partnership, a true physician-lead democracy that emphasizes quality and fairness.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time? Hobbies, volunteer work?

A: I enjoy traveling with my family, hiking in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and photography year round.
