Meet the NWR Team: Dr. Joseph George

Northwest Radiology would not be successful without the hard work and commitment of our dedicated team! We are proud to have such outstanding team members who not only provide exceptional care to our clients, but who also work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly every day.

We want to thank our team members for their service and show everyone what a wonderful team we have, so we want you to “Meet the NWR Team.”

Each month, we will feature team members who are celebrating work anniversaries with Northwest Radiology.

Please meet … Dr. Joseph George. He joined the team in July 2010, making this his six-year anniversary with Northwest Radiology! Learn more about Dr. George.

j-georgeQ: What is your role and subspecialty with Northwest Radiology?

A: I am a diagnostic radiologist with specialty interests in cardiovascular imaging and neuroradiology.

Q: Why did you choose to work in the field of radiology and, specifically, your subspecialty?

A: I have been interested in technology since attending college in the Silicon Valley area of California. I developed an interest in cardiovascular medicine during my transitional residency year working for a cardiology and heart surgery group. I developed an interest in neuroradiology during my residency at Indiana University.

Q: Describe NWR in one word.

A: Quality

Q: How have changes in technology affected your job and the radiology industry in general?

A: Technology has made life as a radiologist both easier and more difficult. The studies are easier to acquire and manipulate, but there are more images to look at and interpret.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time? Hobbies, volunteer work?

A: Kids, kids, kids. (I have seven.) They are seven months, 23 months, 10, 16, 25, 27 and 29. I enjoy going to the park with them, playing basketball and watching all of their soccer games!
