Q: What is your title and role with NWR? What duties does that role include?
A: Account Representative. First and foremost, I work to maintain the quality and performance level that has been the image of NWR for the past 50 years. Everything I do is about the relationship between Northwest Radiology’s patients, physicians and staff.
I file commercial insurance and government benefit claims in addition to resolving discrepancies that may occur after claims have been submitted to the payer. I assist our patients with billing concerns related to their insurance coverage, coinsurance or deductible responsibilities. I also provide coordination of benefit and medical documentation to the insurance carrier to determine eligibility or to review plan coverage for radiology services.
Q: How did you get started with NWR? Why have you stayed so many years?
A: Divine guidance (smile). I was taking medical billing classes, saw an ad in the newspaper and thought “I can do that.” Truthfully I didn’t think I would be here 15 years later, but after about the first five years, I saw what a great employer NWR is. We are individual employees who collectively represent NWR; we work together, laugh together and on an occasion or two shed tears together. We band together to meet deadlines and share hot dogs at the Indians games. Why leave such a family?

A: Evolutionary
Q: Tell me something you wish other people knew about NWR.
A: Our radiologists are among the best; the quality of our imaging services is undeniable; and our flat-rate-pricing was designed to give the consumer access to top-notch radiology services at affordable costs!
Q: Why would you tell someone to work for NWR?
A: Flexibility
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
A: I love and care for my granddaughter and my great-niece and nephew. Also, my church has several ministries in which I participate two to three nights a week.
